BioFach China 2013: entering round seven with a clear increase in exhibitor numbers

From 23rd to 25th May Shanghai’s INTEX exhibition centre is once again set to become the meeting place for the international organic products sector. One particularly pleasing aspect: this year over 230 exhibitors are presenting their organic products to an expected total of 17,000 visitors (2012: 15,963). This is a substantial increase in exhibitors of 21.5 % compared to the previous year's event. more

BioFach Japan 2012 sets quality benchmark for organic products

The Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Centre was once again the meeting place for the international organic sector from 21–23 November. Just under 15,000 trade visitors gathered information from 212 organic companies from all over the world (2011: 170 exhibitors) at this year’s 12th BioFach Japan, the biggest Japanese exhibition for organic products, natural cosmetics and eco-textiles. more

Further growth in Italy’s natural cosmetics market

Whilst the traditional cosmetics market in Italy, with an increase in turnover of 1.1 %, did not experience significant growth in 2011, the organic and natural cosmetics sector was pleased to see its turnover rise by around 5 %. According to the data of the market research institute ISMEA, the natural cosmetics market achieved a value of over €365m. more

Italy: Organic processors increased by 1.3 % in 2011

In Italy, 48,269 operators were working according to organic guidelines in 2011. 37,905 of those were exclusively producers, 6,165 were processors (including companies engaged in retail activities), 3,906 were both producers and processors, 63 were exclusively importers, and 230 were importers who were also producing or processing. more
